Las Vegas: National Independent Automobile Dealers Association

NIADA is the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association, and they have been “serving quality independent automobile dealers since 1946″, we hear.  In this branch of the automobile-selling industry, we were told, dealers need the know-how to not only keep their dealership running, but also the valuable  trade, legal and marketing keys to excelling, whether as an independent, franchise, retail or Buy-Here-Pay-Here dealer.  Legal matters seemed to be much on dealers’ minds.  Seminar sessions included “The Legislative/Regulatory  Scene—An Update for the Industry”,  “Know Your State and Federal Labor Laws”, “Closing the Gap Between You and Lawmakers”, and (scariest of the bunch) “Hello, I’m Your Federal Regulator, and I’m Here to do a Compliance Audit”.  I wonder if I can get a deal so that the federal regulator will throw in the tow-pack for free…?
