May 30 – Jun. 1, 2012. SSP stands for the Society for Scholarly Publishing. Founded in 1978, this nonprofit was formed to promote and advance communication among all sectors of the scholarly publication community, through networking, information dissemination, and facilitating new developments in the field. SSP members represent all aspects of scholarly publishing, including publishers, printers, e-product developers, technical service providers, librarians, and editors. Society members and the global publishing community regard SSP as the first place to turn for information and dialog on current and emerging issues in scholarly communication. SSP members can tap a growing variety of resources for professional development and continuing education in scholarly publishing and scholarly communications. That scholarly enough for you?
